Low growing geraniums come in many different forms, creeping, trailing, mat forming, clump forming, but the one thing they have in common is that they are shorter in stature than some of their counterparts. Low growing is, in my opinion, anything that can reach to approximately 30cms tall at maturity. This in no way makes them any less worthy of being included your garden, in fact they they are perfectly suited to being front and centre of your borders. Here follows a list of low growing geraniums. It is not exhaustive, there are plenty more available but this will get you started:
Mat forming (weed suppressing):
Geranium x cantabrigiense Westray
Geranium x cantabrigiense Crystal Rose
Geranium x cantabrigiense Cambridge
Geranium x cantabrigiense Biokovo

Clump forming:
Geranium sanguineum Canon Miles
Geranium sanguineum Pink Pouffe
Geranium sanguineum var. striatum
