Geranium Mavis Simpson has grey-green leaves create carpets of ground cover, trailing stems scramble through the border and shrubs, holding rose-pink flowers above the foliage. Mavis Simpson was a chance seedling discovered by Mr Cook, the Garden Supervisor, at Royal Botanical Garden Kew. Very similar to G. Jean Armour but distinguished by no veining on back of petals.

With all this in mind, attractive flowers and foliage and long flowering periods what’s not to love about geraniums? They must be one of the most forgiving and enduring yet generous plants around.
