It comes as no surprise that Geranium macrorrhizum Spessart took the top spot again in 2021, it really is a great all rounder, as are all the macrorrhizum cultivars; easy to establish, not fussy, excellent for dry shady spots, semi-evergreen, good long flowering season and easy to control if they get a bit rampant, oh and the bees enjoy them too. What is interesting, however, is that it took the top spot from Plant of the Centenary Geranium Rozanne!
